I'm blessed with the Logitech MX Revolution, and cursed with Logitech SetPoint. I've managed to rig up SetPoint so that (for the most part) my mouse does what I want it to in my applications and games. However, it's just not where I want it right now. I have limited control over what buttons do what... I can either have the Search button open up a Search window or do a keystroke. Can I have it start an external application or mute my volume? Nope. And then there's the thumb wheel... it's basically either Zoom or Volume. I don't really like those options very much. And I can't reassign that in my games either. I know C++, so I figured I could write something to fix these little problems. I looked up stuff on low-level mouse hooks (useless) and IOCTL (way too confusing for me right now.) So, for now, I give up. Until I either 1) find or 2) write a halfway-decent SetPoint replacement, I'll just have to deal with it the way it is. Why, Logitech, why? -Adam (liquidplasmaflow/memzero)
