Yay! it works! Took 5'40" to boot (from the time i turn on the power switch till the desktop icons appear; including logon, etc) with 32Mb RAM... not as bad as I thought (but not much better anyway) ... and Windows didn't complain about the ram or anything: I think I should write an article on cheating installation programs or something

Yeah, he's definately one of my heroes. I remember standing in line (drunk off my ass) with my band mates when the first Star Wars came out. What blew us away was that all this philosophy stuff they were talking about was stuff we'd all been quietly talking about for years. Quietly, becuase as a friend of mine once so eloquently put it, "In America, there are basically two religions - Christianity and all that other weird shit." And here they were talking about "all that other weird shit" right up there on the big screen for the world to see. Of course, today it's become such a staple of pop culture that "use the force" is considered a joke, but it was extremely cool at the time. I'm trying to install Win 2000 on an old 200MHz computer... I don't remember ever having been through such a slow installation process :wtf:. I mean, damn, took two hours already, and it's only just "Registering Components" X| Also, just a small question... what will happen when I take out the 128Mb RAM I just added because the installation required at least 64Mb RAM (and I had 32)... will Windows 2000 refuse to boot, or do I have a chance to get it working?
Cheers,

I installed Windows 2000 on my P-120 w/ 48MB Ram. Took a while, it was very stable but very slow, it felt like I was working through molasses. I now have a T-Bird 1.4 w/ 256MB ram, it pretty much flies :-D
