Have you considered guerrilla aluminum-foil hat techniques? Our Omaha chapter has been experimenting with this. Basically, we tackle unsuspecting people on the street, throw them in a van, tie them up and place aluminum foil hats on their heads until the beams are reduced and they can think "clearly". For some reason it hasn't quite worked yet and we don't know why. I can only imagine that "they" have developed some sort of thought-caching mechanism that eliminates the need for constant direct beam connections.

More than 90,000 Americans get potentially deadly infections each year from
a drug-resistant staph "superbug," the government reported Tuesday in its first
overall estimate of invasive disease caused by the germ.
        ...
There were 988 reported deaths among infected people in the study, for a rate of
6.3 per 100,000. That would translate to 18,650 deaths annually, although the
researchers don't know if MRSA was the cause in all cases.

If these deaths all were related to staph infections, the total would exceed
other better-known causes of death including AIDS — which killed an estimated
17,011 Americans in 2005 — said Dr. Elizabeth Bancroft of the Los Angeles County
        Health Department, the editorial author.

In 1987[^], half a million people marched on Washington demanding more government funding for AIDS (an entirely preventable disease). Perhaps if staph spreads a bit further among "poor urban neighborhoods", then there will be a march on Washington for that too.

Why protest? Just kill a few million cats and dogs and mice and guinea-pigs and maybe you'll find a drug that alleviates the symptons... then you just start all over again to find something to alleviate those symptons... that's the way it's done - what's your problem?

Here's a hypothetical for you: Your wife has a one-night fling with another man. You never find out, and a year later she becomes pregnant (from you). After a checkup at the doctor, you both receive the horrible news: she has AIDS! She comes clean with you about the affair, but of course, it's too late for you. You now have AIDS, and so does your future child. Explain how this is entirely preventable.

Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea. - Mark Twain

OK, but she did. Affairs happen. People normally split up over them and go on living their lives. In this case however, your is in peril, and there's practically nothing you could have done to stop it. Welcome to life with AIDS. Now what?

Then I die. Her actions in your hypothetical affect more than just herself, but the results are nonetheless entirely preventable by avoiding actions with a knowable end result. To say that, in your hypothetical, AIDS was not entirely preventable is like saying that a drunk driving fatality may not be entirely preventable. Sure it might affect somebody other than the person who undertook the risky action in question, but it is still something that does not occur randomly and spontaneously (like cancer). It is also worthy to note that your hypothetical is very hypothetical indeed as AIDS spread in the developed world almost entirely because of homosexual promiscuity and intraveinous drug use. That is why, per my point, there was a march on Washington. AIDS represents a "lifestyle", whereas staph infections do not. Marches in support of AIDS research are really just thinly veiled marches in support of that "lifestyle". If it weren't, then there would be marches on Washington demanding action on staph infections.

Maybe the foil creates a resonating device, amplifying trapped and reflected propaganda?
