Email Reminders
-
I've never found a todo list/reminder/assistant program that I'm comfortable with so when I have to remember something I send myself an email - strange but true. Does anyone else do this or can anyone recommend a suitable piece of software to help me get organised...

since I use several pc's (5 at the moment) and work from several differant locations (3 at the moment) I do the same as you. I just send a email to myself using my gmail account that way all I need is an internet connection to remind myself.
If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why. The only way we learn is by making mistaks.

I have only tried to use 1 application of that type, but I love it. It really gets the job done, and it really helps me stay organized and productive. http://www.codeproject.com/tools/todolist2.asp[^] Edit: Oh, by the way, if you couldn't tell, the above link is the one I use. If you haven't tried it out, definately do so. I love it!

I have done (and do) that often. One of the nice things about running Outlook both at home and work, and then having a way to sync them together (like a smartphone or other similar device), is that a reminder created anywhere gets propogated everywhere I am within a few hours. Peace!

I will send notes to my personal e-mail from work.

You misspelled "mistakes." Consider yourself learned.

A small pocket utility made mostly of pulped wood that you can update using sticks of graphite or capillary driven ink reservoir devices?
I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

If you knew how many of those devices I have already scattered about all over home and office you would know that this is impractical! Also I often want to remind myself to look at a particular website or copy down a section of code, pencil and paper (in my hands anyway) is extremely prone to copy errors...

Are you sure he didn't intend to spell 'mis-tasks'? :)

No, I'm not sure. I was just assuming such.

A few hours? I don't use Outlook or Exchange anymore but I don't remember the sync being that slow. I use GMail and Google Calendar now which sync to iCal and Mail on my laptop. Happens in minutes if not seconds.

I was referring to the time it takes to get my mobile device between the two systems (home and work) as it is the syncronization vehicle. :) Peace!

It happens a lot where my Foobar just disappears. How do I get it back. It's still running in task manager so for the time being I 'End Task' and restart it not knowing what else to do... But... Foobar is totally AWESOME it and CLCL are the first programs I load on my box.
