A great achievement ! Nice work ! Pitty that they failed to teleport the laser beam , but the radio signal was a success ! Cool stuff ! Thanks for the article :-) Cheers, Joao Vaz A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person - Natalie Portman (Padme/Amidala of Star Wars)

This is fascinating! Imagine the Internet without all those pesky wires and fibers to slow things down:-D Another approach (and I'm sorry to admit the name of the researchers at the moment) is to use another obscure quantum feature for instantaneous transport. Apparently, if one separates two electrons from the same atom, if one then puts them in widely separated locations, and reverses the spin on one, the spin on the other reverses itself. The good bit is that there is no interval of time involve - the actions are simultaneous! I Drowned Schroedinger's Stupid Cat!

Skippy I think it was. Name of a children's TV show about a kangaroo of that name... (also used as a term for Australian's, not particularly flattering, but an Australian won't mind as long as you buy them another beer...) Have fun, Paul Westcott.

A nickname for an Austrailian similar to Kiwi for a New Zelander. Also the name of a 70's childrens program 'Skippy The Bush Kangaroo' Paresh Solanki Never hit a man with glasses. Hit him with a baseball bat.

I know *that* Skippie...I was wondering why this threat's title isn't "Beam me up Scotty". Still not sure why that reference to Skippy is there...
Well the Star Trek phrase was 'Beam me up Scottie' and the engineer was of scottish descent. The Scientists who developed this laser transporter are Austrailians. So with a little adjustment of the wording you get Beam me up Skippy. But I spiled it by spelling it wrong :-O Paresh Solanki hombre que trabaja pierde tempo precioso "The man who works is losing precious time." Vuemme
