Hi, I would like to rotate my monitor resolution by 90°. On what level is this done, hardware or software, drivers, OS? Any recommendations...nVidia xx-xx, ATI xx-xx? Thanks Jared

That's for pussies. Just grab your monitor by the sides and rotate it 90 degrees. Seriously, I've seen it as a feature of nVidia drivers.

I have an nvidia 6800 GT, which comes with nView. It lets you rotate the secondary screen by 90 degrees. I took an old Dell panel I had laying around, opened it, mod it to sit on its side. Now I use that screen to dock tools and read email while working on my main screen. Most nVidia cards come with nView, but don't quote me on that. I have no idea about ATI.

Vista can do it (at least on my laptop, which is not a Tablet PC). In Control Panel, go to Tablet PC settings, then to the Display tab. Select the desired screen orientation (probably primary portrait will work).
