Hi, I have windows xp-sp2.I have a on-board Ethernet card.my system is not connected to the network. I shared a folder in My machine and tried to access the folder by typing the systemname in run like \\node1\share ,so that i get the share open. but it displayed a message the machine in offline or the network down. what can i do to access the share without network. just like local host 127.0.0.1 Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I don't understand your question. I have one of my own though: Why do you need a share on your compter if you are not on a network?

“If we are all in agreement on the decision - then I propose we postpone further discussion of this matter until our next meeting to give ourselves time to develop disagreement and perhaps gain some understanding of what the decision is all about.”-Alfred P. Sloan
