Britian has the highest percentage of stress releated alcohol consumption in Europe. Brits spend 21 billion a year on alcohol as a way to unwind from a stressful day, compared to 90 billion for the whole of Europe (yes, the latter includes Ireland!) And there was I think I was special. :(( :suss: (21 billion = $32 billion US, 90 billion = $136 billion US) ____________________ David Wulff "You don't go to the kitchen to take a piss - if you do, don't expect to be served." - peterchen on Bill SerGio. What's the relative population between Britain and the rest of Europe? How did they figure out whether Brits were drinking to unwind from stress or for recreation? That was a question, interestingly enough, asked by the guy doing the radio show after the news was read. He didn't have a clue how either. Maybe there was a survey? Just another manipulated statistics. Ask whoever you want, and you can get whatever statistics you want. I recently read a (german) book which title would translate to something like "How to tell lies with statistics". Very interresting. So trust nobody and you are safe! :-) -- See me: www.magerquark.de

I saw a graph in this months Economist, productivity per capita vs. working hours. UK and Canada siting at the 'bottom' of the graph with most of the European countries at the top. Weird thing is that if you scale the french working hours to the US working hours the numbers for productivity are about the same. Looks like I'm very wrong about my european neighbours and I apologise. [Have tried several times to cut [paste the graph to his message but screen now covered in glue.] [trying to get back on topic..] I think that the UK should have the same number of bank holidays as the europeans so there. Alice thought that running very fast for a long time would get you to somewhere else. " A very slow kind of country!" said the queen. "Now, here , you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place".

Ye shoudl be spending at least 20 times as much as up so!!!
