Waiting....

I'm stuck at work, waiting for a DBA to move my applications database so I can test. Anyone know any interesting new ways to pass the time?! I'm "surfed" out!

Sit over by the printer, making and throwing paper darts at anyone left in the office. Collect cables from your co-worker's cubes and test your knot-tying skills. Build a tower out of empty Mountain Dew cans. See if you can completely enclose someone's monitor. Hunt and kill mice (assuming you've attracted them by leaving empty Mountain Dew cans laying around). Go to the restroom and practice yodeling. Devise your own language. Then translate Wikipedia into it.

What's wrong with browsing through all the articles here at CP while waiting?

Speaking of printers and games... Write an application, and install everywhere on colleagues' PCs, such that when a document is sent to be printed, it gets split randomly, page by page, and each page will be sent to random networked printers. Then everyone can play the highly challenging and educational (but mostly challenging) game of "Find That Page". For extra fun, make sure something always get sent to the Manager's office..somewhat of a "boss level". For more fun, send pages to a printer where the owner(s) will just throw the page in the shredder if they know they didn't print it.

A while back, one of the engineers down the aisle from me kept claiming that there were mice in the building. He proved it with three traps containing dead mice over one weekend.
