What was that program to remap keys?
-
Some time ago (maybe a year) I ran across a program that was used to remap windows keys or entirely disable them. I passed it over because I didn't really need it. Now I do and I can't find the name of it. I believe the program was first written in early 00's and then original developer entirely stopped development, although he did update it in 05-06 to fix a bug or whatnot. I don't remember anything else and I'm not sure that what I remember is right. I googled for it and found SharpKeys, but I'm not exactly sure that it's the right one. Anybody has any suggestions?

I installed SharpKeys a few years back at the recommendation of people in the Lounge. I have not used it much so I am not sure how well it works. I believe the original reason I had for needing that is I had a keyboard with the Print Screen button where insert normally is and as a result nearly every time I wanted to hit shift-insert I got shift-printscreen which ended up throwing away what was in the clipboard. I have since replaced the keyboard so I do not need this remap.

Not really the answer you want, maybe, but I use Directory Opus[^] as an alternative to Windows Explorer, mainly because I really like it's integrated FTP utility (but it's alos vary configurable in all sorts of ways) - but it also has a built-in keyboard-mapper... it's a neat piece of software all round...

You can use The Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator: http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx[^]
