I need to talk to someone on DDD - our company is about to move to this arena and I need to know what the catches are - is it useful or are there major pitfalls to look out for. I have read many articles and browse through some books on DDD and it seems to me it is a puristic approach of OO. Where does my little GSM/SMS system fits in, or my technical system talking to other technical systems? I'd like to be sure before moving into an unknown field - unknown to our development team.

the confused are confused beyond confusion

Not sure what that means. Are you referring to using some tools or prescribed approach or something? Based on the Wikipedia explanation of DDD it sounds mostly like using common sense for doing OOAD.

You say that as if it were a bad thing? Of course I am not sure what you mean by "puristic approach"
