So my wife has a Mac. X| I'm going out of town next week so I thought it would be fun to set up video conferencing with her via Instant messenger. So I install the latest IM for mac. But when I start the call it tells her she needs the latest version and gives her a bogus link. Anyone know if the MAC IM 6.0.3 even does this?

I don't see the option in IM6.0.3. You could use iChat (which suport AIM)

        Alternatively, Skype's video messaging is pretty good...and cross-platform. :)

Unfortunately MSN Messenger does not have video chat. You have to use one of the following: 1. iChat (Mac to Mac only) 2. Yahoo Messenger for Mac 3. Skype

You have, what I would term, a very formal turn of phrase not seen in these isles since the old King passed from this world to the next. martin_hughes on VDK
