I need a religion that I can honestly believe in. The rituals should not be too silly, and having to speak in tounges should be kept to a minimum(I don't want to get locked up in the looney bin). I am sick of my ways, and I want to give up my terrible habits, some of which are very embarrassing. Oh, the God which is right for me, please come forward and I will worship you. I need a World's Religion book so I can sort them all out. Maybe I could spark a revival of some of the ancient Gods.. Which is the most powerful? If you have a cool religion, please note it here, and I will investigate. I am serious so please no spamming or jokes. :)
Hey Martin, If you are serious about this, then take a look at some books by Edward De Bono. It will answer lots of your questions about religion. For a provocative book take a look at "I am right, you are wrong". If you want to understand how your brain really works, read his exellent book called "Mechanism of the mind". If you want more meaning to your life, pick up "Lateral Thinking", "Parallel Thinking" and "Teach Yourself to Think". You might be saying, "What does all this have to do with religion?" Well, you will find that out after reading some of his books. They are much broader than religion and less restircting. You will learn how to control your thinking - you will not need the rules of religion or any other belief system to have direction. Jeremy. "Hey man, Taliban, Tali me Banana."

Buddhism is quite flexible and doesn't demand to much. The major problem with the Illuminatis is there's no hot dog on friday. I agree with the others is that seeing a councelor isn't something bad. After all, if your body aches, you see a doctor. However, I trust in councelors even less than in doctors. So try to find someone who says "yeah s/he really helped me" (and doesn't look like looney bin fodder) Another option: 1) basic Yoga - just to learn some relaxation techniques. No acrobatics, just the "concious muscle relaxing" and some breathing techniques. 2) Explore some "exotic esoterics" stuff. They often come with a view of the world that can give you alternatives. I found nordic rune casting quite interesting. 3) Don't stand above everything. Be open, allow yourself to be involved. It's easy to laugh at chrstianism as on tarot. However, they all represent some model of the world that sometimes helps you getting along with it better. If this doesn#t change anything for you, see a councelor.

Martin, what you probably need is some serious counselling. Christian I am completely intolerant of stupidity. Stupidity is, of course, anything that doesn't conform to my way of thinking. - Jamie Hale - 29/05/2002

Maybe my post came off as a bit silly, so I'm sorry that you took it that way. :)

I almost got brainwashed because the some religious missionaries kept comming to my door soliciting their religion.
