Never use the design view. Write code instead. I've created a page with two frames, I made a HTML file that loads the frames and the frames were aspx files. The two frames load in design view no problems ( although again, I never, ever use it, I just checked for you )

Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++ "also I don't think "TranslateOneToTwoBillion OneHundredAndFortySevenMillion FourHundredAndEightyThreeThousand SixHundredAndFortySeven()" is a very good choice for a function name" - SpacixOne ( offering help to someone who really needed it ) ( spaces added for the benefit of people running at < 1280x1024 )

You can also use divs and position them relative to each other.
