but still my question is not answered. Can any one finds out the exact location from an email. Can you figure out from ip address which country and which city and which area you have sent an email ?
Wo wo hold your horses. CP is running very slow at the moment. .1) I don't know what your 'friend' sent in the email. .2) I don't know how this girl is likely to respond to what was sent.

Yes if enough effort is put in. The best thing to do is to admit he is a fool and apologize. I can assure you that if this issue gets into the area of forensic investigation by police - he will get caught...

It's an idiotic thing to post on a message board the way you posted it. "Can an email be traced based upon the sender's address? If so, what are the legal ramifications if the person sent something that someone..." That would be a more appropriate question, I think.

I guess there are many other languages than just English and Indian languages. And for your kind information, my English isn't that bad. It's just that i don't find any importance of writing perfectly at CP lounge. You need to rest John... :-D Only work and no rest making john a dull boy... :)

As if i care about writing about such issues.I don't hide anything from CPians and also it would be sad to put up question like the way you suggested.CPians should know what one guy did in one part of world. Its good to share such issues. If you are hiding something from CPians then i would suggest you to discuss it. Lounge = Fun for some people, advice for some, and awareness for some. :-D

If you are unaware of the fact that Indians have much better English than we European as the main medium of there communication is English as we all know they have got lot many languages and language changes with city. And do not forget about the call centr's in India.. In Germany we do watch Bollywood movies in German. It's fun

I work with some 20 Indians and some 80 Europeans (including Czech's, Poles, Germans, Spanish etc) I am sorry to say that these Europeans have much better English for 1 reason - the cultural differences between India and England are far huger than between Poland and England. Culture has a big effect on language and the English spoken by the Europeans has no of a tendency of being Indlish. That is many of the Indians can speak English to each other and understand each other perfectly, yet English people may find it harder to understand them. As an example - as a French speaker I find it much easier understanding an English man speaking Franglais than a Canadian speaking French.
