Thank my mother, who liked the painter Franz Marc, and liked the different spelling, and worse, gave me a hyphenated first name (joined with my father's first name) so my birth name is actually Marc-Thomas Clifton. Ever try filling out those Scantron cards at school where everything is bubbles, and you have to ask your teacher "what do I do about the hypen???" :sigh: Marc

You think you've got problems? I was named after an RN boxer (my dad was an officer) whose nose looked like it came from a Franz Marc painting! And he was black, and I'm a Celtic-type redhead. Granted, the wrong spelling is the worst possible situation, but we've all got our own crosses to bear.
