my new ISP is Time Warner Cable and/or Road Runner High Speed Online. Lame! all i want is a tube to my house so i can play world of warcraft! :) hopefully there's no deep packet inspection for my utter 'pwnage'

just request a direct line to the nearest backbone internet server so that you can feed WoW with the fewest hops. I am sure the cost would be ... reasonable... ;P

just request a direct line to the nearest backbone internet server so that you can feed WoW with the fewest hops. I am sure the cost would be ... reasonable... ;P

Good luck! I signed up for TW Cable internet at the extreme (?) speed of 10Mbs. When I called them out to fix it cause I was only getting 5Mbps it took three days, six technicians and the use of MY laptop constantly running tests against speekeasy.net to get the speed correct. After all that, I was setup to play my WoW character, after about 45 minutes the signal dropped long enough for me to lose connection with the server. Thankfully I never canceled my 3Mbps verizon DSL which is stone reliable and plays WoW just as fast as the TW 10Mbps (60fps and 110ms ping). I finally chucked that cable modem through the local TW office window (I wish) and am waiting for FIOS to arrive on my street in Ventura County. DR
