Aaah... It's time to relax. You know what that means: a glass of beer, your favorite ergo chair... And of course, The Code Project loaded on your Personal Computer System. So go on, and indulge yourself, put your feet up. Lean back and just enjoy the articles. After all, CP sooths even the savage :bob:

I've seen my wife do that ( but never where I ask her to ), and as far as I'm concerned the middle ages are gone and there's no point in compensating for that fact by torturing *yourself*. I went to physio recently and they put me in a traction machine. Think "the rack", and you'll be on the right path. Four weeks later, my back is still sore from it. Next they'll find a therapeutic reason to build an Iron Maiden..... Christian come on all you MS suckups, defend your sugar-daddy now. - Chris Losinger - 11/07/2002

I am a cheapy, I use disposable razors - AVID. They come in pairs with four heads, and they cut as well as a Mach 3. I can usually squeeze a fortnight out of each head, so they last well. I use shaving gel (made by the US firm Anthony) as it doesn't give me any irritation and it really wakes you up in an instant. As to After shave - no. I've never saw the need. I will hopefully be the proud owner of some stick thing that will heal the small cuts that pop up from time to time (Micheal suggested it, I think), but at the moment I use this stuff called (David visits the bathroom) Zirh Soothe, which works wonders. Martin Marvinski wrote: it seems that by 4 PM, I look unshaven I am just as bad - if I take my time and shave properly at 8 am, it will look like I haven't shaved in two days or so by the same time in the evening. Since I found the razors I use now, it has improved dramatically on what it was. I guess some people are just meant to be hairy! :( What makes it worse is that none of my friends need to shave yet (I have been shaving daily practically since I left school) - being the odd one out can get a little anoying at times. No-one understands that I need that extra ten minutes in the mornings. :((

What razors do you use. After Shave? Shaving gel? I'm looking for products that give a close shave because it seems that by 4 PM, I look unshaven. I'm even thinking about electric razors but I've heard that the shave is not as close as a razor.

Christian Graus wrote: They smell too girly, and I am too cheap to buy them Lol. Not all of them small girly - the one I mentioned (link*) smells a bit like mint toothpaste but not quite minty (it is strange to describe). It doesn't smell when you apply it though, and the slap in the face it gives you is truely worth the £14 a tube price tag. Christian Graus wrote: I don't use gel or foam I did that when I first started shaving, and it used to burn my skin so much that I would sport the Robinson Cruso look for days just to avoid the trauma again (girls - try dragging a sharp piece of metal over your inner thigh for ten minutes to know what I mean... and press hard). I tried foam after that, but I have very dry skin and it just wasn't helping at all (and it seemed to give me dandruff on my cheeks!) so I switched to gels. They are brilliant - truely a wonderful invention. There's no irritation with the brand I use either (well for me anyway). My only gripe is unlike a foam is that it is difficult to see where you have been - this stuff just doesn't want to "foam up" at all. :| Christian Graus wrote: I've been using the same one for a good year Please tell me you have at least replaced the blade/s! Martin under the Needle...now that's an image I never expected to visualise... :omg: If he were to undergo electrolysis I suspect he'd be back pretty quickly to tell us how painful it is. Imagine having needles pierced into each hair follicle one by one...and then getting an electric shock each time. Ouch! X| Laser Treatment is quicker and less painful if your skin/hair type matches (but trust me - it still hurts a lot)...but guys I'm afraid that for most males hair removal is at best temporary - the body repairs the follicle damage fairly quickly. Back to the old razor I'm afraid. :(

Oh no, I clean them (fuck I can't be bothered to spell this right now, sorry) th-uh-row-ly after each 'stroke' and then again at the end, but I find the blades become blunt after a few weeks worth of use.
