in biology, a vector is something that delivers something else (ex. something that carries a disease to a new host). so, i get a little giggle every time i type "std::vector" (ie. something that transmits STDs) i'm easily amused -c

So in biology it is the means of transmission, in programming it's an array of items, and in math a vector is a direction. Are there any other overloadings of the word vector? Actually my favourite overloaded word is bank. You can bank your money. (verb) You can put your money in a bank. (noun) You can stand on a river bank. (noun) You can bank a plane. (verb) I think there are some others, but I cant remember them off the top of my head at the moment.

it's also a verb. you can "vector" something to the bank. it means to guide or to control the direction, etc.. www.m-w.com , for all your dictionary needs :) -c

The alcohol by volume is generally higher in Canada than the states. On a business trip in Indiana or Michigan, I bought a bottle of Canadian beer and neither I, nor the people I was with could find the %age anywhere on the label. Not that it mattered though, I didn't want to get drunk with my boss anyway. :) "You don't have to be a political scientist or a history major to see the 'bigger dick foreign policy' at work. I've heared a mp3 once that described all the possible usage of the F word. You can even build a complete sentence of almost only the f word. I just tried to google for it but that's prooved a little to tricky. It assumes I want to F instead :) Rutger

Begian beer called Duvel (= Devil) 7.5%, some residue yeast on the bottom of the bottle. It hits like a hammer if you drink it like ordinary beer (esp. on a hot day sitting in the sun ) Reg Rutger
How about Samiclaus - ~18%, but they don't make it any more. :(
