Anyway to interact with the vista desktop via c#?

i remember reading that the vista desktop was a 3d surface or something... is their anyway to interact with it??? Like to make the desktop 3d or something :P

Everything is managed through the DWWM (google it). I do not believe their is a way to interact with the 3D surface, but their are some basic desktop Windows API commands (google it). If you want to replace the desktop you would just have to create a full screen application that uses 3D capabilities that emulates the Windows Desktop.
