old news. As I see it: The "design patterns" concentrate on things that are problems in C++, since this is the language most complex projects (that need that level of abstraction and managment) are written in. Anyway, I'm mostly ignorant of design patterns, since they seem to require a high investment before there's any value returned.

The usual experience is this: Your'e hired 14 days before deadline, the last developer is long gone and didn't leave his number, the code is bloated and ugly.
