So anyway, there I was working on a customers computer when I needed to get in to Internet Properties and reset Internet Explorer back to default settings. I go to the Start Menu (the big candy arse one in Fisher and Pykel XP) and right click on the Internet Explorer icon at the top left. Then somehow lose all hand-eye co-ordination and select Remove from list instead of Properties... Anyone know how I can get this back on the menu? Can't find the option myself and my Google-Fu sucks at the moment. <EDIT> Found it. Right click Start Menu Click Properties... Click Customize... Click Internet: Internet Explorer Click OK Click Apply Click OK Internet Explorer icon back </EDIT>

Try grabbing an icon from the desktop, hover over the Start menu until it opens, then put it where you want it.

It's amazing, I have right clicked on things regularly and never noticed that.

Did that, all it does is put a standard short cut on the Start Menu. When you then right click the newly created short cut you don't get the option to directly enter Inetrnet Properties. It seems that the icon that was on there (before I deleted it) was special and that is the one I want to get back. As insignificant as it is I just know the customer will carry on about it and dodging the whinging is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion.

Try: Click on the taskbar, go Properties, Start Menu, Show on start menu - check the Internet box and choose your browser.

Thanks, that was it, found it myself a couple of minutes ago and have taken that time trying to update my original message to say as much.
