Failed to load viewstate

I am working with asp.net 1.1. In my web page , dynamically adding one serverTemplate in grid. and the gridbind also calling in the dropdown list SelectedIndexChanged event. sometimes I got an error in the dropdowlist_electedIndexChanged event, that mentioned below. plz help to fix this error :( Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request. Thanks..

This means you're dynamically adding controls and they are not the same when your page refreshes
