That an article receives four comments within minutes of one another. Oh, and each comment is from a member who's making their first post. Oh, and the only member with two comments in 9 months posted comments to the same author? And they all voted 5! http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vb/ExportDataToExcelFaster1.aspx[^]

I'll bet it's a poster from India and all the comments are 'Nice, very usefull, thx, ...'.

Not only that, one the comments on the forum is asking to post the logic in the same page that he has in his signature... :|
Greetings. -------- M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you “The First Rule of Program Optimization: Don't do it. The Second Rule of Program Optimization (for experts only!): Don't do it yet.” - Michael A. Jackson Rating helpfull answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Then again, if he renamed the article to "Why COM marshaling hurts and an example of how to avoid it", it would be an excellent beginners article on COM interop... right? Edit: Doesn't justify use of "sock puppets", though... Edit again: I take the renaming suggestion back - seeing that the desperate beginner trying to figure out why populating a spreadsheet is so surprisingly slow will most likely google for "excel slow" first and "excel faster" next, the article will probably be easier to find by the intended audience as it stands. See my comment to the article.

More than the article itself, I was trying to point out the "sock puppets" as Chris wrote. A pet peeve of mine is people that do this type of nonsense. Given time, I'm sure others would've found it useful (though there's a bunch of other articles here on it). Hopefully this guy will learn that you can't always post an article and get immediate 5 votes. It takes time, unless what you've posted is grade A+ unventured territory.

I know what you mean. I would've done the exact same. Wasn't trying to ridicule to author, just the method.
