Hey all, I need a recommendation on a webcam that will pick up a rather wide angle. The resolution doesnt matter a great deal as it will be used on a vid conf over a rather weak DSL line. Also, I would like a recommendation on a directional microphone for a pc. Any help would be great :-D Thanks

Any directional microphone will plug into a PC if it has a standard plug. Also, I reckon your best bet is to buy a wide angle digital camera, most of those nowadays will function as webcams through a video out, with a cheap video capture device. Or you could look at a lens for a webcam, but you'd have to rig it up yourself.

The kind of cam you are looking for is usually used for surveillance. Thus, your best bet is to buy some electronics mail-order mag, they usually offer that kind of stuff. If you are in Germany, go to www.pearl.de.
