The message thread here[^] brings up a good point about off-topic posts (posts that don't belong in that forum). It would be great if we had the ability to mark a post as one of the following: Off-Topic: The post is off-topic to the forum (and only the forum). This would effectively hide the post unless a filter was set to show them. Duplicate: The post is a duplicate of another message in the same forum. When marking a post as a duplicate, a link to the original/other post should (must?) be provided. Cross-Post: The post is a duplicate of another message in a different forum. When marking a post as a cross-post, a link to the original/other post should (must?) be provided. Alternatively, it would be great if certain members (perhaps CP MVPs) had the ability to move posts from one forum to another. This would cut down on the amount of noise in the forums. Of course, when a post is moved a reason should (must?) be provided and an email sent to the poster. This would move the post and all responses to that post.
