OK, so as everybody here knows I have been looking for work for nearly 9 months now. So I am cruising through my JOBNET email and see this as one of the positions listed. I don't know how it got into the email since my search is for C++, MFC, SQL, System Admonistrator, Technical Consultant etc.. But I do know why I am having so much trouble finding a job when the agents can't describe what the customer actually wants/needs. Believe it or not I have solved many a system problem both at home and work by screaming and swearing at a computer. They may be describing the workplace, Michael. It sounds to me as if they expect you to code VB, VBA, and Excel apps while sitting on a UNIX box. That wouldn't be my first choice in office furniture... "Knock, knock." "Who's there?" "Recursion." "Recursion who?" "Knock, knock..."

Michael, one thing I did learn is that the quality of staff at job agencies vary drastically. Keep speaking to people at different agencies until you find someone who is reasonably honest with you ! Hehe :) I admire your reading habits. I buy that magazine. I love to read Taki. He's a fascist but he's funny. I also buy the New Stateman but only to know what the enemy is up to. If you want funny cartoons buy Private Eye. It's awesome, hard-hitting and is not afraid to make fun of anybody. I strongly recommend you buy it. bibamus, edamus, cras moriemur
