New code windows in VS 2003 open with tabs for easy access left to right - i.e. each new one to the rght of the last (though you can of course drag/drop them to new positions) For reasons best known to themselves, in VS2008 they open right to left! I don't know what bored genius thought this up, but I find it quite irritating. There are usually one or two windows I like to keep open (common functions for example) and whereas in VS2003 they used to sit statically over to the left, in VS2008 they shift one over to the right with each new window I open. I can't spot a setting to change this - don't suppose I've missed the obvious, have I...? cheers P
