Need a tutor

Please help me with such a problem. I'm a student and I study VC++, Win32 API, ASP, and some other things all by myself. The problem is that I can't find any application to the gained knowledge since I'm a student and noone wants to hire me without professional experience. Could any programmer (e.g. any of you) become my "tutor", e.g. help me choose what to learn, to share personal programming experience and perhaps give me some programming problems from real life? I would do my best to prove to be a hard-working "student" and would be very greatful to anyone who helps me. Eugene

You've got a world of tutors right here. As to what to learn, do you know the STL ? Do you know COM ? I'd suggest you ask a question more like 'I know x, y, and z, what should I learn next ?', set yourself some tasks that use the skills you want to learn, and ask lots of questions in the appropriate forums as you're doing them. Then we'll ALL be your tutor. Christian We're just observing the seasonal migration from VB to VC. Most of these birds will be killed by predators or will die of hunger. If there is a particular language/flavour of language that you prefer over another check out the articles here that have been written on it. :) Nick Parker

The best way to learn is to put your knowledge to use. You should work on your own project just for learning or find an open source project to work on. If you don't use it you lose it. Todd Smith
