ISP woes

My ISP [a cable fellow] charges me Rs 900 per month [10% of my monthly pay] as subscription fee. The max speed is set to 64 Kbps [7 KB/s] but they don't say anything about the minimum speed which is sometimes berale 1 KB/s. On top of all that they said they are gonna enforce a download limit of 500 MB/month which sucks even more. One big problem is that because the speed is so slow, pages keep timing out and I have to keep refreshing. This means I lose some of my bandwidth just for that. Thus out of any 500 MB I'd only have a useful use of 300 MB. This really sucks. I am truly beginning to hate my city :-( Stuck in a hole! That's where I am. :-( Nish

You should start your own ISP. And just have absolutely *huge* bandwidth packages. Advertise with slogans referencing gluttony, etc. It'll be great... :)

the rate is really too high. India is typical model of fast IT development for us when i was studying. it seems the internet access is far from ideal considering what you said. :confused: this is my signature for forums quoted from shog*9: I can't help but feel, somewhere deep within that withered, bitter, scheming person, there is a small child, frightened, looking a way out.
