It is strange to look at my car now, buckled as it is, after having had it for 4 years. I do, however, quite like my rental car. The greatest irony of all this is I was wondering what I was going to do with my car when moving to Seattle... to start work for Microsoft :)

That you're here typing to us shows that your car did it's last job amicably. Good luck on the new job.

Well, it's kind of a blessing in disguise. One, there were no other cars involved.. on one of the busiest parts of the busiest highway in the DC area. What are the odds. Two, I'm physically fine. Not even whiplash. Considering the state of my car, that's pretty remarkable. All I can say is, I highly recommend Toyotas.. very safe cars.

I totaled my 02 GT with 1 payment left; 2 months after dropping 2 grand to fix the busted rear axle that wasn't under warranty. Sometimes it sucks, and sometimes it is awesome. In your case it seems to be good luck.

No, but for $20ish/year your insurance company will if yours is totaled or in the body shop. Then instead of spending $$ to transport a car across the country Patrick just buys a new one when he arrives.

I recommend driving to this[^] location and buying a replacement. I've had my eye (but not my wallet :(( ) on this[^] for a while. Thankfully, my 17 yr old chariot[^] still runs well. :) /ravi
