Even though I used to work there one year before, it is hard to answer for your doubts. The people are polite and honest. You can earn maximum than any countries. But don’t expect entertainment like EU countries. Their rules and laws are strict.

Ditto here. I wouldn't set foot in that country no matter how much you paid me.

It has been ten years since I worked in an Arab country, so this may be somewhat out of date, but for what it is worth; 1) On a one to one level, the people are very nice & polite. You may form some life time friends. 2) They live their religion much more so than any western country. That is both good and bad. They are serious about taking care of family, etc. But also serious about their religious restrictions and expect you to respect them. 3) You will get very little in country support. They may have the infrastructure, but they don't have the people who understand it. 4) In general you will be viewed as a worker class - not an equal. In the oil rich Arab countries, they do very little work themselves, that's what you are for. 5) Different Arab countries have different levels of woman’s rights, but the Saudi's are still very restrictive. If you have a wife/GF, think seriously about the impact on her life style. Restrictions on her will be much higher than your restrictions. She will not be able to work, drive, go out alone, etc. She will have to dress according to local custom. 6) The Arab's NEVER stop negotiating the contract. They will not directly cheat you, but they will keep trying to change the deal to their favor. Anything not documented (and most that is) will be interpreted in their favor. Your actual earnings will NOT be as good as you think and the costs will be higher. 7) There is a large Indian community in the Arab countries. You probably can get more current input from them. 8) If you are single and the money is good enough, go for it just for the experience if nothing else!

Contray to popular belief, both booze & women are available in most Arab countries. You have to look harder & they come at a higher cost & risk, but they are there. For example the religious convention of not sleeping with anyone outside of marriage is handled by establishing a limited term marraige. Say 12 hours. Bigger problem is finding a "non-professional" woman willing to accept the marrige terms who does not have her brothers watching every move!
