Forget Bond, who's the best Discworld Character? I'm hoping for the minor characters, but I guess it'll be Carot/Sam/Granny/Nanny/The Agony Aunts. I couldn't remember who I was thinking of, but I finally found Amschat B'hal Zoon[^]. I think he's great, yesno?

I used to know a trader who was so good at taking money for goods he never quite got round to delivering that we christened him "C.M.O.T. Cooper". I've never seen so many angry re-enactors itching for the chance to string up the same person...:rolleyes:

I'm warming to Moist von Lipwig and his split personality that means he always ends up doing the right thing in spite of looking for a good scam at every opportunity. If you haven't read "Making Money" it is very appropriate at the present time. Obviously it couldn't be true I mean the fact that it cost the bank more to produce coinage than the coins were worth ... that would mean they'd have to borrow money just to make the money that was worth less.
