Never Use Royal Mail Over the past 2 weeks I have posted 5 items I sold on Ebay to UK Sellers via Royal Mail. 3 Out of thos e 5 items have gone missing. On ringing up Royal Mail they say they have no idea where the items are. I told them I have paid for tracking, their reply was, the tracking only worked When the item was delivered, ie the only piece of tracking they had was the fact it had been delivered - how useful is that?! One of the people that I sent an item to requested a redelivery of the item, only to be told that the item had already been delivered and signed for?! Now On looking on Royal Mails so called "Track and Trace" website, it tells me it hasnt been delivered!! who do I believe? On ringing Royal Mail I am then told that their infalliable systems say the package has been signed for, and also is sitting in the warehouse waiting for delivery?? Which in my eyes means one of two things, a almight ****s up or the Postman has stolen the item. How a useless bunch of cowboys manage to even attempt to run a postal system I cannot believe. I cannot wait for the day the whole lot is privatised and then prehaps they might be shown by a Proper Courier company the concepts of Tracking Parcels and delivering on time! *Rant over*

And dont get me started on the amount of times postmen round here have been caught opening mail and stealing money, or even just dumping letters as they cannot be bothered to deliver them...

Ah, unlucky.. That's only happened to me once with an unrecorded delivery with Royal Mail.. Had to wait 2 weeks until the shop decided it wasn't coming though, but they send out a replacement free of charge. I once got a 2-3kg package sent to me through Royal Mail and it came through alright. Regards, --Perspx

There are some sorting depots that are out of control and the company won't do anything because it would upset the unions.

Yeah I've had loads of trouble with them as well this year with things not showing up (both parcels and letters) or being really late. A few weeks ago a load of bills etc all showed up at once for the past few months including several increasingly threatening reminders to renew my TV license, but all got delivered on the same day.

Interlink[^] don't bother with anyone else if it's a substantial package.

im looking @ DHL now, they offer a service where you can take the package to any branch of Staples (Stationary store) and they will collect from there, you also get full and complete tracking from the point it leaves the store, to when it gets to their hub and dispatched and recieved by the end customer. along with exact times, dates, locations and signatures.. now that Royal Mail is parcel tracking!
