Hi there to everyone. I'm living currently in Peru, and I did post my resume on dice.com. A couple of days ago I have recieved an email from a company in the USAs named XCEL SOLUTIONS CORP, they are offering me a great deal (visa for me and my family, 1 year contract, 401k plan, and so on). I have been doing my research about them and I came across with this article on a blog (2006): to good to be true[^] After reading the comments that a couple of people have leave in there, I'm not so sure about this job, the situation here in Peru is not so good, well, I can survive every month but I'm always looking forward to give to my family (my mother, my wife and my daughter) a better future and it seems like a great opportunity. Anybody known something about them? A friend who have worked for them recently maybe? I really appreciate if you guys could provide me any kind of information about this company. Thanks in advance.

Better Business Listing[^] however. I don't care if you receive an email from XCEL or the President of the United States, always treat an email response cautiously. There is no way to really be sure of the origins of emails. From employees wanting to scam an extra buck to complete fabrications, you have little to guarantee the source of the email. Know what should or should not be expected. Ask for a call-back number, verify against the business listing for that company. Look it up, google it, check the BBB, ask the company directly (through call back) if the person is for real.

Thank you very much for your response, they leave a phone number and an address on the footer of the email, I have checked those with the info on the webpage and it seems fine. However a phone call will clearify any doubt about those guys. Thanks again "El Corazon", I really appreciate it.

I read through the comments at the link you gave. It appears they offer lots of people jobs with the hopes of landing a few suckers. If I were in your shoes I would stay far, far away from any kind of bulk job offers like this. AFAIK Better Business Bureau listings deal with customer complaints, not employee complaints, so they aren't all that relevent in this case. Cheers, Drew.

True, but they DO have contact information.... I was more concerned with a scam that a bad company, though both I am sure are prevalent enough. I got my free calendar/organize/calculator by wasting an hour listing to how to make money on the internet from a group that regularly takes people in. After I got there and got their name, I was googling from my phone who they were, what they were. After the hour, I took my freebies and walked as most people paid the $800 to sign up to make themselves "rich." You can't save the world, but you can check who you are dealing with through multiple sources.
