That's a shame. Can you sell it and put the money towards a Mac ? :P

It's probably half the price of a Mac even when new. Apparently Vista runs more solidly on 64's.

OK, I tried Vista 64 once, but it didn't run any of my hardware, and I had trouble with software compatibility too. It's a long time ago tho, I'm sure things are better now. And yes, Macs cost more. Just like a BMW costs more than a Ford....

My friend bought me an HP Pavilion 9205[^] as an early Christmas present. Hmm, now I just wish the previous owner also brought the power supply

Nice. I had a happy Monday, shoveled out 18" of fresh snow :-D

Not really: I been making the same mortgage payment for the last three years, so not being financially aided on that wasn't a problem (except when we were both unemployed, when I couldn't pay for six months) - and most of the time their company, and her free housekeeping - has made the time better.

I always used to drive BMW's, and can live nicely without one until I have my new bike (Kawasaki) in the New Year. I need to get my credit rating. I will probably have bought a BMW before the end of 2009, and then I'll consider getting a Mac.

Funny, b/c you need to save a lot for a Mac :) Christian, I love your sig, it is the path I wanted to take for the same reason, however, I didn't have ~ $1300 for the macbook pro :(( Linux made a good substitute, did you try that?

LOL, that's a bummer. On the plus side it makes it a bit lighter, and a lot more useless ;P

And depreciates faster... (Mind you if you want an investment you have to get either a classic Ferrari or an old Land Rover)
