I just moved to UK on the 23rd of November and I'm looking for a job as software developer...probably not the best time to look for one, but anyway... My problem is, I'm bored because I'm not programming and I need something to keep my mind busy... Does anyone had any idea lately for a software or an article but don't have the time to write it?

If I had the choice to be bored in Portugal or the Uk, I'm afraid Portugal wins hands down.

Most of the time, I get a lot of my article ideas from code I write for work (like my recent Wizard article). However, there are times when I just want to explore something, and I sometimes get an article out of it. I also find articles inside articles that I'm already writing. For instance, I've been writing a second article about My Articles scraping, and came up with an article about sharing user settings between applications. I guess what I'm saying is to simply start writing code and see what happens.

Yeah, guess I just have to start writing something and see what happens...maybe I will start with the backup software. :) Any requests? Anyone using any backup software that can point the bad and good things about it? Maybe this will turn into a software and an article...

Find some pub near to you place. Stick there from 10 in the morning. Have a drink every one hour/if you have a Slavic or English ancestors the prescription is for a drink every half hour/. I can guarantee that the ideas will start coming to you about 4 pm. Ideas for: CP articles, solutions for the global warming and financial crisis, the last 4 digits from Monica Beluchi’s phone number, new cheap energy source etc.
The narrow specialist in the broad sense of the word is a complete idiot in the narrow sense of the word. Advertise here – minimum three posts per day are guaranteed.
