Password Manager

Can anyone recommend a good free password manager? I'd prefer it if it was something that can run on Win, OSX, and Linux; but it isn't a necessity. Thanks in advance.

The link is to a Password Manager program. What's to understand?

I use Post-IT notes on the side of the screen. Works for all operating systems, are easily backed up onto additional paper based resources and can be disposed of in a fire without creating noxious substances.

You're a programmer - write one. It certainly wouldn't be hard to do.

keepass gets my vote too. There's an unofficial linux port[^] that works fine for me. (Or the beta of version 2 is apparently mono compatible)

How about you send me an email with all your userids and passwords. I'll manage them for you. Whenever you need one, just send me another email and I'll reply with your info. Wow, this sounds like a great business opportunity. :)

While Karl's suggestion (of his own app) is good, KeePass has a more standard UI. So unless you are used to WPF UIs with non-standard control shapes and colors, you'd want to use KeePass. Neither of those would work outside Windows though.

Not true. Keepass has a Linux port. Plus installations for Pocket PC, J2ME, Black Berry, PalmOS, PortableApps Suite ... and you can always get the source code and roll a port yourself. ;P

That is what I use. I recommend it too.

And George would be pretty good heading up the marketing department. :)
