Taking out the RBN
-
Everyone knows of the Russian Business Network, but does anyone know who they are? What authority, if any, would or could pull them from the wood work? What are the politics of this kind of crime, and would removing it completely destroy a lot of what pushes technology forward, just as computer games and porn have pushed technology forward? I'm really interested in the mystery that surrounds this particular organization. It would be nice to drop a massive thermonuclear device on their St Petersberg office too, just because. Is anyone else fascinated by this group of people and their seemingly bullet proof ventures against the rest of the world (Kaspersky, Symantic, Microsoft, Georgia, etc, etc, etc..) -lb

Nope. I can't even rouse myself to apathetic about this one.

I remember reading some security articles about them a while back. see below for a study that was conducted on them; http://www.bizeul.org/files/RBN_study.pdf It certainly looks like a massively complex organisation that they built, covering all IT avenues, therefore ensuring that their operation is hard to bring down.
