-20F (-28C) this morning. Subtract a few more degrees to compensate for the wind and it is a damn frigid morning. For any of you who have never experienced this kind of cold... it physically hurts to be outside. Who else had a freakin' cold morning?

I have experienced -37C once. I bought myself a hot Pica from the nearby bakery and for less then 2 minutes walking back to the hotel it becomes a frozen stone.

Not as bad here, 1F and no wind -> YET. Tonight it's supposed to go down to -5F with a 20MPH wind - wind chills going down to -25F. It's not North Dakota type stuff, but damn cold for south-east Michigan.

LMAO, I remember seeing a report on the Mpemba Effect when I was about 12 years old and it was a fresh phenomenon. I still remember the terrible way his teacher treated Mpemba, while refusing to do the experiment himself because Mpemba's reported results violated "common sense."

We also had -20 this morning; with the wind the chill factor was -45 or something like that. What makes me mad is that one of doors at work kept getting caught on snow/ice build up and was being held open. It normally only opens with a key card. So rather than maintenance REMOVING THE SNOW, they locked the door. So I had to walk to another door in this lovely weather.
