I hate VS.net IDE ...

Just to scream out loud !!!! I just can't install that thing ! it crashed one, and now it won't install, re-install, repair, remove... tried all the hack'n'slash that the numerous stupid knowledge base suggest, but to no avail. I'm about to reformat and re-install my system! Spent the last few hours reading all the problems that people have when tring to install that piece of crap on the microsoft newsgroups. I never saw a microsoft product install and behave so badly! ( including Windows Me. ) Max.

I had the same problem installing the RC. Eventually had to reinstall Windows to get it working. Probably was just some file somewhere i had to delete, but i sure couldn't find it. Every time since then, it's been a painless install... damn too-smart-for-it's-own-good software!

If you think the installer is bad, wait until you actually get to the IDE (if you ever do). X| --Mike-- Just released - RightClick-Encrypt v1.4 - Adds fast & easy file encryption to Explorer My really out-of-date homepage Sonork-100.19012 Acid_Helm

Oh, it looks great... until you come to actually use it in anger. I guess for those moving over from VB and the like it is pretty sweet, but for experienced C++ developers the changes are a nightmare. Despite all the nice things that MS have added to C++, I'm stick with VS6 until they design the .NET IDE so that C++ can use it rather than fight with it. Michael :-) Time flies like an arrow. Hey, you mean there's an IDE for Visual C++ 6? And I don't need to use notepad for editing my files? :) Tomasz Sowinski -- http://www.shooltz.com
