I came across this article on the Internet [^] and was wondering on people's opinion here as to how the Gaza conflict has affected them in there own lives and was the attack on the person in the article justified at all? Let the flame war begin..... Regards Made clear when talking about attack

Well I misplaced my keys this morning... (butterfly effect?) but I suspect I would have misplaced my keys anyway.

There is no excuse for that. Each and every person involved should be sent to prison immediately, and if they are immigrants on a visa expelled after serving their sentence. Or maybe they would rather that the UK just declare open season on Muslims AND Jews, and let the last one standing win (you know, the Amedinejad solution)

8:1. Seems like fair odds to me. Jews tend to be better armed ;P

Yeah but Muslims welcome the change to blow up 40 or 50 of their own to get 1 Jew. All depends on their physical distribution.

This is just typical ignorant thuggery. The man is an orthodox jew there is a reason he is in this country. ( If you don't know it look it up ) In a way I alway feel sorry for the orthodox jews in England especially in London as I live not far from orthodox jewish community but whenever Isreal commits its atrocities in gaza etc they are always the ones who kop the shit from ignorant thugs who dont understand that it is nothing to do with them. As for personally I will no longer watch any bbc programs due to its bias in refusing to air a charity appeal in aid of the innocent civilians of gaza when it had no problem broadcasting the lies of the Isrealli government. In fact if it wasnt illegal I would no longer pay for my bbc subscription. Let the one votes begin because I wasnt licking Isreals arse.

:wtf: How much is your forced subscription? And who ever thought it was a good idea? (We have the CBC here which is subsidized by taxes and i guess it amounts to the same thing but do you actually have a separate bill for it?)

We have to pay I think its about a £100 a year ( Its a direct debit thing cant change it or do anything about so I havent kept up with the increases ) Officially its called a t.v. licence which allows us to own and operate a t.v. it also pays for the bbc.

Of course it wasn't justified. Was the attack on this doctor[^] justified? Were Palestinian rocket attacks justified? Was Israel grabbing land from outside its original agreed borders justified? I don't think there is a single yes/no answer to today's actions because past events are so complicated.

You remind me so much of him - especially in the way you run around unavoting anyone who disagrees with you. By the way, it's "by illiot," not "from illiot."

Of course it wasn't justified. Was the attack on this doctor[^] justified? Were Palestinian rocket attacks justified? Was Israel grabbing land from outside its original agreed borders justified? I don't think there is a single yes/no answer to today's actions because past events are so complicated.

Absolutely. Most of the borders in the Middle East, and in much of the rest of the world, were determined by the victors after a war. Why should Israel play nice when no-one else does?

So it would also be OK for the neighbouring countries including Palestine to attack Israel to get it back?

Attacking Israel was how they lost land in the first place. In all three of the major wars between Israel in its neighbors, the Arabs struck first, and in every case they discovered that Israel was a tougher nut to crack than they had bargained for. The one thing those countries don't want and can't withstand would be another war with Israel.
