You poor fool, Ilíon has no sock-puppets at all and Ilíon made no such threat, neither obliquely nor directly.

WSell, just in case, I've asked Chris to look into this.

It is all rather mysterious, isn't it? And, frankly, humorous.

I never saw Rob's post, but I'm betting he's right. Ilion (maybe CSS?) has set up a bunch of dummy accounts and is voting all messages off the board.

Mysterious, maybe. Silly, definitely. As I mentioned, it's not even consistent.

I'd believe that if some of the messages weren't still in blue - and some of them only have 2 votes.... An explanation would be nice. Apparently, while I was away, I missed loads...

Indeed you have, on a number of occasions warned that "the community" would come to enjoy the same treatment you were receiving. Given the timing and choice of targets today, as well as you gleefully calling attention to one of the first to disappear suddenly a short while ago, all point to you as the agent. This time it is you who are the *liar*, and fool.

Dryrot's post (demonstrating, once again, his hypocrisy) vanished, so I can respond to it only in this manner.

Everyone's a "hypocrite" this week - I confess, I do like to see folks expand their vocabulary.

You pathetic ... or dishonest ... fool. I was pointing out to you children that others were getting disgusted at your behavior (as witness by the posts of various members calling for an end to "the community's" censorship of what is ostensibly a Soapbox) and that eventually they'd serve you with your own medicine. Whether that's what's happening here I cannot say. But I have no sockpuppets.

I suspect that if the messages are down voted very rapidly, perhaps across multiple servers, the post status could get out of sync, with the post being removed before its vote count or score was correct. This actually suggests an automated attack across multiple logins, to me.

Exactly what I was thinking. Right now, I'm trying to balance, by voting anyone who isn't offensive up to a 5.

I'm not sure about that. Looking at Messages Posted under a user's profile shows that they are being removed at only 2 votes....

How can it not be mysterious? At least until it's understood, what else can it be called but mysterious?

It's behond silly, it's hillarious ... especialy the reaction.

More mystery, I suppose.

With no pre-defined rules for message deletion it's rather stupid. Some offensive messages have been deleted, some inoffensive messages have been deleted. Doesn't make sense. Some have been removed after 2 votes...I thought it took multiple (i.e. more than two) to remove a message?

And some of my posts vanish within minutes, sometimes even as I'm correcting a spelling error or missing word I didn't notice before I'd initially posted it.

I know - sometimes they've been deleted before I can post a response. I think this "Message Deleted" feature is rather ridiculous - at least when it's being abused like this.
