Can anyone recommend a good hosting company for international clients ?. I currently have my own server hosted with iweb in Montreal and the bandwidth within Canada is fine at approx 10mbps. But the max I can get from anywhere else in the world is about 200kbps.

It's probably a lack of interconnection on your hoster's side. If you want to prevent this in the future, try to find out who offers a long list of peers, and then check for the available bandwidth. Geographical positions near a CIX are usually helpful.
