    That does not change the fact that you can't use express editions if your database will grow higher than 4GB...

    yes thinking about it, that's a good point. and with mysql around database there'll always be a database free for all however oracle and M$ decides to price their databases, also keeps database price down since we all need it so much

      Open Source... But try out the license, many have fallen trying to figure out if they need to pay a fee or not. Imagine after Oracle gets done with it ;) Just because something is open source, does not mean it is free (just look at Community Server for that example) and it does not mean it will remain free. Licensing can bind your buns :)
