Wow, this made made day. I'm always avoiding UML as much as possible, but now I'll take some spare assignment just to try this (-. Thanks for sharing.

That is really cool. But I wont be using it. Software as a service is a great in theory (& I love google docs). But what happens if this company decides to stop offering their service. I'm left with a bunch of text statements that I can't 'compile' into diagrams any more. and a bunch of bitmap files that I can't edit. I'd rather keep using Visio safe in the knowledge that whatever MS does with it in terms of support or changes, as a last resort I'll always be able to go back to my XP machine (or vpc) and install my copy of Visio 2003 and edit the files. If they want me to use their software, they will have to provide a downloadable version that I can store as a backup. (I see on their comments page that this has already been suggested, voted for and started)

No particular reason. I'm just a code monkey that likes to write code (-. To tell the truth, the company I'm currently working in fallows quite strange development cycle, going shortcuts all the time. So UML is often (if not always) removed from the task list as it takes "too much time" of the "real" work.

Meh. Thinking of the "office storm" when e-mail isn't available for an hour or so because someone or something in the chain messed up - that's a PERFECT time to say: "Also, No Word, No Excel, no Powerpoint!"

Don't attribute to stupidity what can be equally well explained by buerocracy.
