Seperate Message Board for Sharepoint
-
Hello All, A seperate message board for all sharepoint questions, answers, messages should be created so that the messages and questions can be posted and answered at the suitable place. It is extremely essential and urgent as sharepoint is a hot topic for discussion and so many discussions are floating around here and there in codeproject messageboards. Thanks and Regards Saanj

If your suggestion gets 10 votes of 5 then you've got your board :)

Hi Chris, You have given a condition which is totally out of my hand. But by the way, I must thank you for considering my opinion. Let see if sharepoint guys like my opinion or not but I am quite hopeful about it. :)

Though I have worked in Share point only for few months, still I like it and I think CP should have one forum for it. one 5 from me. :) Waiting for 8 More votes.... :-O

I'm curious as to the vote requirement. Where the other boards, such as Perl, Apache and Delphi also asked to meet this criteria? SharePoint is a popular, and growing, area of interest, why not provide resources for developers similar to the existing ones. I would guess this board would be more active than Apache(8), Perl(26) and Delphi(53)
only two letters away from being an asset

An arbitrary and non-binding request to see if casual visitors to this part of the site are truly interested. We added the Perl, Apache etc boards when we merged back the LAMP sub-site into the main site. Frankly, though, I don't see that the fragmented boards are doing our readers any good. We're working on something that will hopefully solve these types of issues.

Perhaps asking on a weekly survey if SharePoint, or any other boards, should be added would provide more visibility.

It is actually a great idea Mark. Rating system can sometime be difficult to judge the necesity and the importance of one issue. Because ultimately people have to read it first. What about those readers who very rarely come to the "Site Bugs/ Suggestions" board? Weekly surveys or polls can solve this issue. By the way, thanks to you Mark for your support. Hope to see a Sharepoint message board soon. :-O Cheers Saanj
