Has anyone tried any products such as soy milk or soy cheese? How close are they to the real thing? Even more important, are they edible? I've thought about trying it but am a bit put off... What were your impressions?

I drink soy milk regularly. It's a little different, but it tastes great. Don't expect it to taste exactly like milk, but don't expect it to make you gag either. It's a very small difference in taste. Jon Sagara Red Swingline Staplers

I don't like milk, so I don't knwo the taste of soy milk and I like cheese too much to eat something that is only "like" it :) I tasted a steak made with soy (a vegetarian girl was tasting it :)) but I wasn't impressed by it.. You've to consider also that soy is mostly transgenic today and, if you mind about this (like I do) eating things that could be natural and biologic (like milk or cheese) is better than eathing some soy-based chemicals :) I'm Italian, so I'm a bit sensible about good food :) P.S. what's you favorite cheese? -- Looking for a new screen-saver? My favorite cheese? Do I have to pick just one? Feta, Brie (sp?), extra-sharp cheddar, real parmesan, gorgonzola. Can't stand any of the fake cheese food products out there. I refuse to eat American cheese. Don't see how anyone can eat it.
