on another note, I have stopped getting response emails...did you or Rob turn the feature off?
Nope, nor did I. Check your settings the next time you post. You turn it off once, it sticks now which is different from the way it used to be.

The "Send me an e-mail if someone replies to this message" box is still checked. I guess it's an issue on my end.

At one point Thunderbird started dumping all cp messages in the trash because I would dlete them every couple of days, and I had to set up a rule to keep it from doing that

I rebooted my Blackberry and a few minutes later it sync'd up with the server...11 unread messages.

Computafreak posted this in the lounge: I had an interesting day today. Quad-biking in the morning, followed by normal biking in the afternoon. Hour and a half of high-speed quad biking - no problems. It was excellent. Ten minutes into my normal bike ride, I'm going down a gravelly hill, when my bike slips. I end up chest-planting the hill. After continuing on for a little while, I go into the toilets to clean up. It turns out that I have a deep, cross-shaped gash in my chin, some scrapes on my chest and a slightly scraped knee. Great(!). After I've had something sugary to help avoid shock and crankiness at being hungry, I went to minor injuries. They've glued it back together and put a fluorescent green plaster on, which I have to keep on for 48 hours. I have school on Monday. Won't that be fun. It's been deleted, that is, lots of people voted it 1. WTF ?

Mr Maunder's explanation. It clears things up significantly

any idea what that was all about? what little I can infer from the posts is that if "we" don't like you or your posting style then you're sh*t. sort of odd behavior in a site supposedly fenced off so we can be wild and wooly.
Well, one or two so-called moderators started deleting my posts. I think it's more simply "if "we" don't like you then you're sh*t"
Have your fights in here, but I would appreciate it if you do not take them (or your retaliation, if that's how you consider it) outside this forum.

Would that be the "bug" which allowed one or two persons to "automatically remove" my posts moments after I posted them? (I speak of the time before you made one or two of those persons "moderators" over this particular forum)

And I would appreciate some honesty.

To which question?

Have I not said, all along, that the *real* intention with the so-called SoapBox was to have an actual SandBox -- a protected play area where *certain* persons and *certain* opinions are privileged?
Certain persons claim to find your presence, and that of CSS, irritating. However, I do not think it is your opinions that are the cause of this irritation, merely your inability to defend them. CSS clearly does not understand much of what he purports to believe. You seem to have made little attempt to understand much outside your beliefs. You often appear to be out of your intellectual comfort zone and resort to derision or irrelevant pseudo-philosophical statements. I see no reason for another Soapbox, those who find you irritating need only ignore your posts. Strangely, they seem unable to, which makes me think that they will find the new Soapbox lacks a little savour.

Why do you assume that the Back Room and Soap Box 1.0 are mutually exclusive? Indeed there's been some talk of making sure that Back room always has posts since it's purpose, as far as Chris is concerned, is to keep the animals occupied and not messing up the lounge or the other Soapbox.
