    The Zicam FDA advisory[^]:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today advised consumers to stop using three products marketed over-the-counter as cold remedies because they are associated with the loss of sense of smell (anosmia). Anosmia may be long-lasting or permanent.

I remember trying this stuff a few years back, and throwing out the bottle after it nothing but make me even more congested and miserable. But i seem to recall a few folks here recommending it in the past... Anyone ever experience loss of olfaction as a result?

On 16 June 2009 the FDA warned that "consumers should stop using Zicam Cold Remedy nasal gel and related products because they can permanently damage the sense of smell."[^] I wouldn't eat that either, children.

Maybe I should have my wife use it. She have an overly sensitive sense of smell.
